ARC CARB Study of Aerodynamic Trailer Components
|
June 25th 2009 - The California Air Research Board (CARB) is in the process of finalizing regulations that will require most class 8 trucks and 53' trailers that travel the roads of California use fuel economy savings devices. Because of this, many different devices have flooded the market leaving fleets uncertain about what performance each device will offer. ARC has completed a wind tunnel test to catalog all devices available to date that currently lay claim to meeting CARB standards. This test report will be for sale through ARC on June 15, 2009. "Given that our methodologies allow us to test all the available CARB products in one setting with the same vehicle all in one day and gives the best comparison currently in the industry, we felt putting this information together for the fleets was our responsibility." Stated Mike Camosy, Operations Manager. For more information on how ARC's capabilities can help you, contact ARC by e-mail at sales@arcindy.com or via phone at 1-317-291-8600.
