ARC Performs Vital Study for EPA
December 17th 2009 -

ARC has concluded a comparison test between scale model rolling road testing and the currently accepted SAE Type II full scale testing of Class-8 trucks. This study brought into focus that scale model rolling road testing was more cost effective, accurate and repeatable. The final results of this study will be reported to the EPA in January 2010. ARC has been working towards EPA approval of our testing methodology for the past 12 months. This test is the culmination of all our efforts and we look towards these results to help ARC gain final methodology approval which would allow the trucking industry to quicken its development pace by ten times its current rate, while reducing overall development costs, explained Mike Camosy, Operations Manager.
