Mike Camosy - CEO

Prior to becoming CEO for ARC in 2011, Mike helped transform ARC’s current business as its Operations Manager and co-shareholder since 2003. As a classically trained engineer, Mike established our strategy of bringing together the commercialization capacity with a research facility and set ARC on a growth path for its future. Prior to this, Mike held the position of Reynard North America’s Technical Director, as well as their North American Head of Aerodynamics. Before joining Reynard Motorsports in 2000, Mike served as a race engineer/aerodynamicist/suspension engineer/data acquisition engineer on various open wheel race teams including, PacWest and Tasman. During Mike’s graduate studies in aeronautical/astronautical engineering at The Ohio State University, he helped develop multiple technologies for different racing teams, including Newman/Haas and Truesports. Mike concluded his graduate studies in 1995.

 

Henri Kowalczyk - COO

Henri has been with The Auto Research Center since 1999 and is the Chief Operating Officer. He holds several degrees, including a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Columbia University in New York, a MS in Mechanical Engineering from Clemson University and an MBA from the Kelley School of Business in Indianapolis. Before joining ARC, he worked as a data engineer on race teams and a test engineer for power plants. In his spare time, his hobbies include old cars, flying and sailing.

 

Kevin Clark - Controller

Kevin Clark has served as the company’s Controller since joining The Auto Research Center in February of 2005. In his role as Controller, he is responsible for the financial operations of The Auto Research Center and all of its subsidiaries. Prior to working at The Auto Research Center, he spent 15 years in the insurance industry, performing in various roles such as financial and investment analysis and financial reporting. In addition to his insurance experience, he has 5 years’ experience as a corporate accountant for a Fortune 500 company. He is a CPA and has earned the "FLMI with Distinction" designation.

 

Jean-Michel Esclafer de La Rode - Director of Analytics

Jean-Michel oversees the Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) Division of the Auto Research Center. Prior to joining ARC, he held senior engineering positions with BAE Systems Land & Armament, Daimler and the Chrysler Group, crafting 15 years of aerodynamics and thermal efforts on various vehicle programs such as the Dodge Viper, NASCAR Charger, ME412 Concept, Freightliner Cascadia and the BAE-Navistar Valanx among many others. A graduate of Stanford University with a Master’s Degree in Aeronautics and Astronautics, Jean-Michel also holds engineering diplomas from France, where he studied mathematics, physics and aeronautics.

 

Steve Roskowski - Engineering Manager

Steve attended Tri-State University from 1987-1991 earning a BS in Aerospace Engineering. Before coming to ARC, Steve ran a private shop that specialized in antique boat restoration. He also designed and built racing hydroplanes for the APBA boat racing circuit. His composites work allowed him to become a certified safety cell manufacturer for the inboard division. Steve has been with ARC since its inception in 1998 and became Engineering Manager in 2008.

 

Winston Bush - Model Shop Manager

After completing a City & Guilds Automotive Apprenticeship in his native England, Winston worked his way through the ranks of open wheel racing from British and European Formula Ford and Formula 3, European Formula 2, and Formula 1. Since becoming a U.S. citizen in 1987, he worked on Sports Prototypes and IndyCars before joining ARC in 2001, becoming Model Shop Manager soon thereafter.

 

Paul Cavanagh - Technician Manager

Paul graduated from Ivy Tech Community College with a degree in Design Technology, CAD/CAM Specialty A.A.S. His past experience includes Machinist/CNC programmer. Paul has been the ARC Technician Manager since 2002. He manages a dynamic team of technicians whose responsibilities include: Wind Tunnel and 7-Post configurations, calibrations, test operations & maintenance and Rapid Prototype department production and machine maintenance. He enjoys amateur off-road motorcycle racing and building/riding high performance cross-country snowmobiles.
